They didn't change the driver model.
They didn't change the APIs significantly.
They tweaked the GUI and added a few apps, refined the plumbing.
Now, by the time they're done with the free year and all the added features and plumbing tweaks they'll probably have a really different Full OS release.
But what's coming down now is only part of the full Win10 product.
Call it a Win98-Win95 transition but we saw bigger changes in XP SP2 than in this release, so far. It's actually a good thing its free. It's a good upgrade but not worth upgrade pricing. Yet.
