Amen to all the above. Also check OpenLibrary.org, it is affiliated with Internet Archive, and sometimes offers titles not available at Internet Archive (archive.org).
Pdfs of old magazines can often be found at Jstor.org, and also at unz.org, but the image quality at unz.org is usually pretty sad. Sometimes GoogleImages has links to usable illustrations. (Tumblr? Pinterest?)
