I agree with you sun surfer. I think the fact they are there provides us with a buffer if we need it, and indicates to people having a look that they are welcome but we want people to participate in the whole process, especially the discussion once a book is chosen.

As long as it isn't onerous for you, I believe we should keep the system and apply it where necessary.
