1. Filename sending has nothing contact with filetype itself.
2. I have now 21 formats in Calibre. I read only 3 of them in Calibre (and they are not very important for me). All others I send to the outer applications.

Again: if the task can be done manually, then it can be done automatically, too. As I wrote: create a file (if Calibre want so, let it be, temporary) with name, created from the metadata, and send THIS file to the outer reader application. So easy.
