I understand you are talking about the titlebar and tab -- i.e. the document and application name.


@Turtle91,

You aren't supposed to see "title - author" either.




The document name which is used to set the application titlebar and taskbar tab, is derived from the book's metadata. The metadata used is "title". Just title -- no authors anywhere there.
The embedded-in-ebook-file metatdata, not the calibre library metadata, in case that makes a difference.


I would like to point out, again, that PDF is a very bad format. I believe there are unresolved issues with metadata handling, competing ways of mebedding metadata in a PDF, and that is on top of the fact that it is difficult to convert -- I don't know why anyone would want to read PDF in calibre's ebook-viewer.
