Won't replace it, not even all browsers support the same HTML5 tags it's a step backwards and for developers there is just no way of predicting the user experience.
Flash is standalone it will look and perform the same on all browsers and all systems, you know 99.9% of systems will support it.
HTML5 is a stupid idea that was hailed as the future by Apple simply because they wanted to save money with inadequate hardware, instead we have gotten bloated slow browsers and web pages tripling in size because of it.
Microsoft also know HTML5 is going nowhere and that's why they made silverlight.
