They still both look paranormal to me, and your typography needs work. The sans "See no evil" section is terribly kerned, and I have to agree that your serif name isn't working with the rest at all.

This is what cover designers do for a living, it is a learned skill, and I have to agree with HappyMartin - if you're going to do this yourself and expect to attract readers it would be a good idea to study design and typography a lot more than you have. People don't expect to wake up and write a publishable novel overnight; they learn their craft. Same with editors. Same with design.

For starters, read about the subject; and as you go along, look at a lot of professionally designed covers in your genre, and learn the language.

How wedded are you to the title?
