That still doesn't explain what you actually want to do.
What is your objective that will be solved by running two versions of calibre on your laptop?

What goal are you trying to accomplish?


Is your goal to be able to say "I run two parallel instances of calibre", for the bragging rights?
Do you want to be able to look up things in different libraries?
Do you want to compare libraries?
Do you want to run the content server for a different library than the one you have open?
