I finished
Treason's Harbour in the middle of my swim yesterday. This one and the last are not among my favorites in the series; right now
The Surgeon's Mate holds the palm. While both books are rewarding in the way all the books are, they also served to mark time. I think the fictitious aspect of the last didn't help; had O'Brian know what he was getting into, no doubt he would have paced himself better! So much time elapsed in the first few books.
Treason's Harbour felt like half a book, the way we were left hanging. And, while I thought I'd stop for a bit, I know I've got to squeeze in one more before my hiatus because I can't stand leaving things at this point!
After
TH ended, I was surpised to find that I had
Raffles: The Amateur Cracksman cued up next; I had forgotten that I had loaded it onto my player. A very fun listen; nice to swim to. I like David Rintoul's narration.
On other fronts, I got halfway through Georgiana and then switched back to Bob Moses.
