The Appalachian Trail is far better known, at least to those of us on the east coast of the U.S., than the Pacific Coast Trail. But ever since I first learned about the PCT, just a few years ago, I have dreamt of hiking it. It gives an almost totally different set of sights and experiences than that of the AT.
This bargain little ebook was written by someone who actually hiked the entire length of the PCT. If I understand it correctly, though, he does not so much tell about his experience hiking it as he to draw life lessons from having hiked it, that he wants to share with his readers.

Book Description
Motivated by completing a thru-hike of the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail at age 65, Michael draws from his often adventuresome life experiences to convey a motivational message to encourage others to tap into their desire, determination and dedication in order to realize their dreams and get the most out of life. Intermingled with autobiographical sketches, Michael conveys the more practical aspects of working to achieve goals by overcoming fear, mitigating risk, being open to unfamiliar experiences and by taking a step-by-step approach to fulfilling lifelong ambitions.
