So just to close this thread as solved. I ended up just using the amazon download and transfer via usb function. I setup calibre to watch the download folder and auto add those to the calibre library. This way the books can be all in calibre with the ones i download elsewhere. It's nice so books can be centrally managed in one piece of software. Thanks for all the help forum people! :-)
