It's a design problem and while we all know there are technical issues to writing we seem to be ignoring the technical issues related to design.
As an example on the one cover with the big blue eyes I count 4 different typefaces. Not good design. It is messy and breaks things up. As a photographer I can also say non of the images have much merit photographically.
If you put any effort at all into writing a book I don't get why you wouldn't get trained professional help with a cover.
