#4 is okay, with the hands. It shows hope. but I don't like super-grim stuff. Just my taste.

#2 ain't bad. I don't get all this stuff about it's not a baby. Ur, I think the title makes the intention and meaning clear. anyway, my two cents.

Saying that, the new one you posted will probably work because people respond to faces and big eyes.
