minsik - The 'Esc' key will remove any search criteria, Ctrl/Home will give focus to the first book
Perhaps you sometimes inadvertently click on a column label, that will cause the book list to be sorted on that column. I avoid/overcome that problem and similar issues (eg dragging columns around, showing extra columns, hiding columns etc) via the
View Manager plugin.
A View defines both which columns are displayed and their horizontal order, and the sort order of the columns. You can define multiple Views per physical library. And you can assign a hot key to each a View - pressing it 'refreshes' that View.
One typically has a 'default' View, so you could make its kb short the F5 key.
View Manager was one of the first plugins I installed.
