Every recipe in the Samosa cookbook was copied and pasted from various sites on the internet. Also, there were many strike throughs in the book.
Little word of advice: just because there is a publisher name does not mean it is not self published.

I was a little bit leary of them, for two or three reasons. Decided to go ahead and make the post anyway. Especially since all of the books were free (and I thought that that prune cookbook was just so delightful. ha).
Several months ago--maybe 6 or so--we had this discussion on the cookbooks thread about Encore Books. The prevailing opinion was that they, too, were taking recipes off of the Internet and making books out of them.
My opinion was that the books could still be valuable, because they save people the trouble of scrounging the Internet to find recipes of a particular kind. The only issue that I remember having is that you couldn't be very confident in the quality of the recipes.
I decided not to post anymore of Encore's offerings, especially any that actually cost money. I may end up doing that with Echo Bay.
