The column I am talking about is on the device list. It is a read only and cannot be changed.To see it:
- Connect the device
- In the toolbar, the library button should get a second button next to it for the device. If the device has an external SD card, that will show as another button.
- Press the device button.
- The device list is shown with all the books on the device.
- The last column is the collections on the device.
As you have Kobo devices, there will be two pseudo collections. These are "Im_Reading" and "Read" which map to the "Reading" and "Finished" filters in the Kobo library lists.
Kobo and Sony devices display the current collections like this. I don't know what other devices do this.

https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kobo...nd_Collections. This is what meera is referring to. For that configuration, you use one or more columns in calibre to create collections on the device. You can view these columns in calibre without having the device connected.
