Oh no, she didn't finish the whole thing yet. Just enough last night for a bunch of red flags to ring some bells with how that guy was interacting with her.
Though she is a voracious reader. She likely finished it this afternoon but I didn't ask.
Edited to add: Thank Diana for me. I owe her... well, I don't want to think just how much damage could have been done.

I imagine that reduces your list of worries. Just a shame that he lost his friend.

Thanks - me too!
I've a minor rant. Without going into the whole how and why, I ended up fixing my roommate's old mac mini for myself, and I'm turning it into a media pc. The only decent spare keyboard in the house is a Canadian English / French keyboard that he ordered by accident off of ebay ages ago.
I was only superficially familiar with using Macs to begin with, so in addition to new keys for that, I have to contend with extra keys I have no use for, with several common keys being labeled as something else. I'm mostly a touch typist, so I'm fine until I look at the keyboard - then I get totally lost until I force myself to look away.
Of all the problems to have...

But it's a minor one and no one's at risk this time, so I'll take it.
