I still had the only decent code I got from last month's contest, which I wanted to test before deleting it and surprise - it worked. It was doubly surprising since it worked on a Penguin ebook, which AFAIK aren't discountable in the US.
So I did a little experimenting. I tried a couple of other July codes and they still appear to work on discountable ebooks. (I tested low value codes because others have reported that trying codes without making a purchase may still render them unusable.)
I had trouble getting codes to work on other Penguin ebooks that I tried from my wishlist. These were from other Penguin imprints - Ace, Berkley, and Putnam. It appears though that ebooks specifically from " Penguin Books Ltd Imprint: Penguin" are discountable. Here are 2 more examples I tried:
The Penguin Book of Modern African Poetry
Great Battles: The Battle of Isandlwana (Penguin Specials)
While experimenting, I remembered a previous glitch that allowed codes to be used by multiple people but once per account. Has anyone tried using already used July or August codes on another account?
