Sadly, the puncture was in a location that could not be patched. Also, humongous thorn, which didn't help. I saw where it was and agreed that the tire was toast.

And, yes .... it was that again, and I have fixed it. And it is cooling back down as we speak. Yea!!

My fridge is sort of set in to the cabinetry, so it would unlikely for anything to get back there are chew the wires.
However, I have a very (very) bad habit of hanging grocery bags on the handle of the fridge door, and sometimes it keeps the door from closing properly, which makes the fridge die from exhaustion. The thing is, I can't put the bags on the kitchen counter, because the cats will pee on them, and I really hate food that has been peed on.
I suppose I should invest in a hat rack or something for the kitchen .... or .... ohhhh ..... just got an idea for my next project!!
