Also, barnes and noble is releasing a new nook soon so that would be another device to check out. I love my NST w glowlight the physical buttons on the side are such a nice feature to have. So to sum up, it sounds like the new nook, kobo glo hd, aura, or new kobo touch 2.0 for your needs. If you can get the kobo mini cheaply I would definitely recommend doing so. This would let you see what kobo software is like, and it never hurts to have a backup device.

Just thought I'd give my 2c.
So you're saying kobo reads mobi format too? I didn't realize this. It can't read a actual Kindle file though, can it? I'm only asking because sometimes I can't get a book on kobo and I need to buy on B&N or Amazon with my US account. And I just realized you can't download your nook books anymore so now I lost those. So I doubt I'll buy any more from B&N.

I did get the kobo Aura and the mini. I figured I could keep the mini in my purse. I like the aura a lot in some ways, but I'm finding the touch screen is wonky at times and twice now it's made the font go crazy big or small and I have to take time out to adjust it (and I didn't even have more than one part of one finger touching the screen so I wasn't pinching it). It doesn't always register my touches or swipes either to turn the page. I'm going to see if I can get help in the kobo section. Maybe it's the new firmware.
