Hi everyone! Newbie from the Netherland with a question here
At the beginning of August I received my Onyx M96C. I treated it as if it were my baby, but the glass behind the screen somehow managed to crack anyway, which is very unfortunate. Especially because I've only had this ereader for about a month.
The webshop I got it from told me they can't do anything as it doesn't fall under the warranty and they told me I might as well buy a new one as replacing the screen would cost me more than the ereader itself. So that's 300 euro down the drain, which I'm having a hard time to accept

( in fact, I'm livid, but protesting probably won't help).
While this shop told me that it'll cost more than the device itself to repair, I was wondering if this is true for every shop and if someone might know where I could get it fixed anyway and what the estimated costs would be (as I'm located in the Netherlands so a US address might not be very feasible

).
Or if it really is that expensive, if anyone might know of a sturdier ereader (or even eprinter) with a big screen (preferably 9.7" but 8" will do in a pinch) aside from a secondhand kindle DX.
