@LisaAlissa - this only works on Windows, but FWIW

Put a Windows shortcut to calibre.exe into your Send To folder
Start calibre GUI and make sure the correct library is open
Make sure Add Books Control settings are set appropriately
Select book files
Right-click->Send to->calibre.exe

The advantages are a) leaves the files where they are, b) doesn't require extra copying steps. Also a file manager that can present a flattened directory view of selected file types is handy - xplorer² Lite (free) is one such.
