Screenprotectors have more than one function. I've used a screenprotector on all my devices, gorilla glass or not. Even gorilla glass can scratch (I've found out). But most importantly, I use it to get rid of that horrible reflective screen...

But my e-ink ereaders are not protected, they already have that matte finish.
