Fyi, if you re-read from the start. the OP is given one and only one good software suggestion - Freda. The developer of Freda posts to say it will meet all requirements IF the OP is willing to upgrade to10... thus the pros and cons of that became relevant. Casting FUD at the general principle of taking the free upgrade was your response....
