If you sort the Kindle's "documents" folder by date, recently added books should be at the top of the list.
HOWEVER, do bear in mind that, if you have recently updated the Kindle's firmware, that will have resulted in the device being rebooted, and, as you know, the Kindle's clock is reset after a reboot. You need to turn on Wi-Fi and let the device sync to Amazon's server in order to set the clock correctly.
