Prolonged exposure to plastic bags or bins will eventually be harmful to your fabrics.

I've heard of people actually laying themn all out, one on top another, on beds that aren't being used. That way there are no folds or permanent creases.

I hope your niece does appreciate and treasure what you have.

It kills me to see quilts that women put so much time and effort and love into not loved back.
