/dev/mmcblk0 is the SD card. /proc/partitions just lists mmcblk0 and partitions on it. It's weird! I can boot from the SD card simply by having the SD card inserted when booting the device. It's like how old PCs would automatically boot from the floppy drive if you had a bootable floppy inserted. Unlike those old PCs, it appears to block access to the internal storage, unless there's some obscure place I'm missing. I gather I'm in new territory with all this.
