Following on from post 617 here about Doctor Frigo being available from Kobo UK, and especially for the benefit of non-UK/Aus Kobo users and Kindle users, two Eric Ambler books are available from the website
http://ericamblerbooks.com on subscription to their Eric Ambler mailing list (with an option to receive e-books from other authors).
On subscribing and confirming email address, a message indicates you will receive the first e-book within 48 hours.
Sure enough an email arrived, including links to download The Care of Time in both .epub and .mobi formats. (These will need to be side-loaded, unlike the free Doctor Frigo on the Kobo store.) The email said that a further email will be sent next week, with links for Doctor Frigo.
