It depends on how bright you have the display setting, & how/what you use the tablet.
I have an ASUS memopad 176cx which I use as a universal controller for my AV system via software. Especially when watching TV, I keep changing channels &/or hitting the mute icon to silence the loud commercials; also do channel surfing. Many channel changes when eating & sandwiches do leave imprints on the screen that are very visible when the display is on & VERY visible when the screen goes into "save screen" mode which happens often.
I do have the "screen save" sleep mode set at 10 min BUT the bug is that it is ignored & within 1 min the screen goes black with the date & time display.
The "good news" is that it is easy to find the mute button when the screen is darkened.
