Probably you installed the build13 version in first page, not the build13H2O.
1. Download the file attached and install KoboRoot.tgz from install directory.
2. After the install, connect to PC and edit .kobo/nightmode.ini and look for in the brightness section and change these options to value shown

For those who would think it's better to activate the "night mode" when light is 0% rather than when it is ON at 100%, just don't, I tried yesterday
: when you are reading in bed, everything is dark, and you want to activate the night mode... good idea to preserve your eyes, but... you put the screen light to 0%, and then you activate the night mode... mmm... how ??? where will you press the screen when you don't see anything ?
I think I will try to set this value at 5%
