I prefer Tom's list. This one has the two non-fiction categories grouped together rather than spreading them out and it tries to move the predefined categories around. Tom's is better distributed through the year.

Non-starter, first because it was set as January prior to voting so shouldn't be moved. Second because having January as second chance makes the voting / nomination period for January (which happens in December) much easier during the holidays. Tom can just grab the
list and start a vote; he doesn't need to spend time with the nomination process which is the time consuming portion.
