Metadata Parse Reverses Title/Author Academic Texts

My library has a mix of general reading and academic books. One of the behaviors that I have noticed is that when I load an academic book Calibre parses out the title and the author correctly but reverses the fields (i.e. author in title; title in author). This happens more than 50% of the time for academic books. Fairly rare for general reading books.

Sure would be nice if this could be improved because I have to do two passes on the metadata for each (academic) book.

(sorry if this is in the wrong place---don't see a feedback section)
