This doesn't surprise me. The number of people who read enough to justify a dedicated reading device has always been small compared to those using a multi-function device such as a phone or tablet. As phones get larger screens, naturally they become more suitable for reading on. There will, however, always be "hard-core" readers who prefer to use a dedicated device.
