You are right. I just discovered that the behaviour of AlReader is ROM dependent. On my Energy eReader Pro with a C67ML system.img the Playstore AlReader version 1.67 was working like a charm with all the E-Ink feature (fullscreen, pagerefresh etc.). Out of curiosity I switched to the new Energy eReader Pro v.2 firmware and the same AlReader version 1.67 was not working as expected (no fullscreen, no black page betwwen pagerefresh), so I had to go back to the special e-Ink version 1.63 from Mike Sinkovsky.
