The usual way of testing a jailbreak is to try using a hack.
Assuming you were successfully jailbroken, which is reasonable, try installing USBNetwork, configuring it to start, and see if you can connect.
Just enter the right commands etc. as if you can see the screen -- the DX is keyboard driven, so it's not as important to see the screen as it is on newer devices.
