Sometimes it can help to do a complete removal of a driver and reinstall the package fresh. This involves removing from add/remove programs as well as uninstalling the driver completely from device manager and then reinstalling. Of course if the problem is the driver itself, then this won't make much difference. Still, I've had quite a few glitches cleaned up this way in the past so it may be worth trying.
