Unfortunately, and to my great disappointment, I have to say, after further testing, that it does NOT do any indexing of the epub files. You are totally right.
In my enthusiasm of finding an epub ifilter, I definitely posted far too soon. My apologies for wasting your time.
That "Archivarius 3000" looks promising. I'll have a look at it tomorrow. Too tired for now.
