Collections are folders.

And let's just say I am extremely grateful that my touchscreen Kindle Touch can be easily jailbroken so I can create collections using calibre.
Creating collections using the Kindle's native UI is... possible... but painful.




Sideloaded books will continue to show up as books, not Personal Documents (assuming you have set the right option in Preferences ==> MOBI Output from your K3 days).
