I have a Kobo Glo. Last year after returning from holiday (No water sand or beach

), it started freezing every few pages and became totally unresponsive. I tried all sorts of things, factory resets etc; all to no avail. Up until that point (18 months or so of ownership) I loved it, but it was aways glitchy and very slow with creating collections/shelves.
I caved, returned to Amazon, and bought a PW2 and that's been rock solid. Just as reliable as the Kindle Keyboard I had before the Glo. A few months later Kobo did a firmware update and it seemed to work again for a while, so I resurrected it. It worked fine for a month or two and then started freezing again! The PW2 is still going strong.
Another firmware update and it (the Kobo Glo) is working fine again! The problem is that, without the PW2, I'd have had a year plus of sporadic annoying and unsatisfying reading sessions, always worrying when the next freeze was going to occur. That and spending my life with an unbent paperclip at the ready, doesn't seem like fun.
I keep the Glo as a backup device. Sadly, I prefer it's size and weight to the PW2, however, all things considered, I feel the PW2 is a better reading experience. I'm not saying that all Kobo's are bad, I've only had one, but the experience has definitely been less than stellar! Ongoing, I'm much more likely to be looking at an Amazon offering such as the Voyage Two, should it ever appear.
