HI Tshering

thanks for your work, I tried it out, here are my remarks, carried out on GloHD with 3.17.0:
  • Installation worked, I was dropped into a new KSM08. Simple configuration of bigger font on my GloHD worked. Starting koreader and vlasoft worked. Starting into nickel and returning to KSM worked.
  • Database check: Indeed, it was malformed!!! I have seen regular database corruption but didn't know that this is related to the Kobo driver and the KSM - where does KSM come into play here? Anyway, it would be great if that could be fixed, as I have to redo all my library stuff. Is there a way to fix the database?
  • Next I installed the update1 following your directions. What happened is that I got a *rotated* information screen, and after reboot KSM is *gone*, completey gone. Device boots directly into nickel, and exit png just shows up as exit png,
  • After turning off and on again the KSM was back and update installed.
  • Then I installed the second update - same as above: Info screen is rotated, and I cannot click to "Close" button, but it reboots automatically. After the reboot direct into nicke. Turn off the device, turn on the device, KSM is back.
  • Power off screen did worked the first time and showed the KSM power off text. Then booting kicked me directly into nickel and turning it off showed the nickel off screen. Turning in on brough KSM back.

It seems that there are some strange things going on ;-)

Hope that helps

Norbert
