You can do the same....create the media and install later or just wait on even creating the media, but you'll have to either remove the Windows 10 Icon/update process or just let it keep trying....some say it eventually succeeds......

It does succeed eventually. You get the failed condition because the system is trying to finish the download and the MS Servers are busy. When the download has completed, you will get a notice that it is ready to install. Shows up in the lower right where the MS icon is located.
