Thanks for the link TimW! Knowing that it's the only option will stop me from keeping looking easier solutions.

If I can remember to when I get around to it, I'll try to measure the time spent reading a book using Free Time and then go and compare it with the estimate I get when I finish a book and go right back to the beginning. This would be an easier way to have the information!
