Yes, I loved the ending, where the memories finally come back to her and she is able to complete the puzzle.

Nora was very real to me too. I found the book very sad because of the life she led, which represented the limited opportunities available to most women of her time, my mother among them.

There is also the consideration of the path not taken, as she contemplates the beautiful embroidered wall hangings she had made in her youth.
