Mutton, except for lamb (young sheep) meat, is extremely uncommon across the pond here, at least where I have lived and visited across the country. Lamb is only a little more common. It's not available much in restaurants except in more expensive ones, generally speaking. It's hard to find in the grocery stores, at least in the towns and small cities, and if you do find it it is probably only going to be the leg portion or, perhaps, chops.

I love lamb. IMHO, some mint jelly accompanying it, though, really enhances the enjoyment of it.

Thanks for the post. I'm anxious to try out the recipes in the book.
