Mobi7 can be an advantage. There is no support for any embedded spyware that may need to be cleaned up. And for a nicer look of presentation of mobi7 with custom linespacing, kerning, hinting, hyphenation, and such, there will probably be a filter to convert them the way you want them automatically. I don't trust each publisher to create nice and consistent great looking books only because the advanced typesetting becomes available. Quite the contrary - more choice to screw up will be taken advantage of.
