Sooo... Kobo is sending a replacement for my Aura. Last night I decided to push the start button one more time - and my Kobo came to life in "restoring" mode! I was pretty happy, and I got everything re-set up and was ready to write to Kobo that I was back in business and reading, and it locked up again. First it locked on a page, I did a reset and then it locked when I tapped on the book on the home screen. Reset again, and it when to the 5 squares on the screen, but they stopped moving, and that is where it is right now, 20 hours later.... and it does not respond to button presses or further attempts to reset. So, I will wait for the replacement.
Overall, I think customer service has been pretty good. I hope they follow through!
