I do both and like both. Price aside, there are times when I prefer having text to mark up and re-read. But I also do a lot of driving and audiobooks are better for that.

The ideal is to have both, something that Amazon has been doing for awhile with 'Whispersync for voice' and 'immersion reading'.

I'd like to see them improve the Audible platform by integrating 'Xray' features so you can reference names of people and places, and navigate to references within the audiobook, and have 'real' chapter names instead of generic 'Chapter 1', 'Chapter 2' etc. which often bear little correspondence to the original book.
