I've had a response to my email - just 7 hours or so after I sent it.
An apology for the 'technical difficulty' with the contest and a discount code to use. The body of the email says 50% off, the code is labelled 70% off - either is better than I've ever won in the contest but I hope it's 70%!

ETA it was a 70% discount code
