I had a feeling that would be the winner. Not sure why, but I did.
When originally looking up books that told the immigrant experience I was surprised to find so few from Australia. There are many many to choose from regarding the Canadian, UK or American experience. I would really like to compare a little of the Canadian and Aussie literature so if some of my Aussie friends here can suggest others, I'd be appreciative.
And, having no prior knowledge of it, I'm really pleased that Tirra Lirra won!
