50 Baker Books for $50!

Vyrso is offering a bundle of 50 Baker ebooks for only $50. The deal is good through August 17.

The titles are on "theology, spiritual growth, family and marriage, ministry, and other important Christian topics."

Vyrso is a subsidiary, offshoot, or in some other way affiliated with Logos, the big Bible study software company. Vyrso's books, however, run on their own proprietary app. They state that you can read the books "on any mobile device."

The regular (i.e., list, I assume) price of all of these books is $724.61, so you realize a savings of $674.62, according to Vyrso. As with all bundled book deals, however, there are some books that you probably would like to have, several that you're indifferent about or unsure of, and some that you know that you would not be interested in. So, in reality, you may still be paying several dollars per book for the ones that you want. And, keep in mind that none of us are going to pay list price for ebooks that we buy, thanks to Amazon and other ebook discounters, so the difference in price that we would pay for the books that we want in a bundle and the price that we would pay outright for them might not be all that great.

Go to this webpage to find out all of the titles, to get other information, and to download the app.

BTW--Vyrso frequently has promotions in which they offer sharply reduced prices on ebooks that other companies do not have similarly discounted. If you don't mind using their proprietary app to read the ebooks, you might find it advantageous to sign up for an account and/or get on their mailing list.
